6:30 pm 10/22/06 Update

This note is from Myra (mom)...Julie is doing a tremendous job being a sister, nurse and correspondent. Jenni has to be mom to Ruby, sister and friend...both are amazing daughters too! Jenni returns to Michael and their home tomorrow. Virg wants only to "be" with Josh and then keeps us all fed, walks Ruby, meets and encourages other families and patients and longs for a yard to mow :) It seems we have been here for months...but in only 48 hours all you have read from Bethesda has been unbelievable. Josh has been moved from ICU to the surgical trauma unit...and awaits surgery tomorrow on his pelvis.
Josh is truly amazing....he wants to do everything himself...he is at times a challenging patient..he is very honest when he needs to be alone..usually when pain is high or he is struggling to breath...his soul is intent on surviving.
In the days ahead he will be able to read all the wonderful emails, letters and cards you have sent...right now he continues to need your prayers.. M
