My Uncol (Uncle)
Ashley Allen is Josh's 6 year old neice who recently wrote and illustrated
a book in her kindegarten class. The book was written by her without
any corrections ... she also drew a wheelchair...a big yellow house...and
a blue explosion! This is written exactly as she wrote it....
Dedicated to my Uncol
I love my uncol. He got hrt in the Murees. He wus in
a humvee. He got his legs blon off. Thar wur four peepol
in the humvee. Two peepol dide and two peepol stad ulive
and Uncol Josh wus one uv thim. I wit to Woshington DC My
famlee wint too. I sol my Uncol Josh. We got to see the
Woshington Moumit. My Uncol is in a hotel. I got to sit
on his lap. It wus fun whin he had no legs.
As they say....Priceless!!
Josh has titanium legs now and is making great progress. His Marine
Company is returning from Iraq in one week. He sends his best wishes
to each of them and their families. Josh is scheduled for some surgery in
May to remove abnormal bone growth.... then a few more months of
physical therapy and he will return to Indy and thank everyone in person!
