10/23/06 noon update

The hardest part about writing these now is trying to figure out what day it is! Boy, what a week we've been through. I'm definitely going to need hair color after this thing.

Josh went to surgery this morning. They did the wash on his leg wounds & were going to do the hip & pelvic surgeries, but they felt the plate that they had was not the right one to use, so they are going to try again tomorrow for the big hip surgery. So, he's in recovery now, will come back to the Surgical Trauma Ward later on & then we'll do it all again in the morning. They will be stabilizing his right side socket of his ball and socket joint in his hip which is displaced. They will be putting screws or pins in his left side pelvis to stablize the shift in that bone. They saw no signs of infection which is GREAT. We hope that keeps up.

This morning, he was in less pain, but still pretty agitated about all the things going on and all the medications keep him fairly foggy. He still has a long week ahead of him, so we're spending lots of time making sure he gets what he needs from the medical staff when he wants it. Because, as you all know, the Bleill's don't really have a ton of patience in us.

Thank you all for the emails. We're reading every one & will get them all to Josh when he is able to listen to them. If I haven't responded to anyone's questions that you need answers to, just email again & I'll figure it out at some point!

Love to you all. Julie
